 RV Traveling

RV travelers can spend days, weeks and even months traveling and living in their RV. Unlike weekend and vacation, on an extended RV trip you can not just put your lives on hold while you are away from home. Life goes on while you are on the road.

Make arrangements to secure your home, get your mail, pay tour bills, and keep in touch with your friends and families. You may also have to deal with obtaining medical care and getting and/or get those prescriptions refilled while thousands of miles from home.

Simplify, simplify, simplify. That being said it includes things like banking and bill paying. We are really lucky our daughter lives nearby and checks the mail, deposits checks, pays bills and keeps an eye on the house for us. We put call forwarding on the phone and forward it to the cell phone. If we are away from a tower the voicemail on the cell phone gets the message. Using an ATM card on the road allows us to get cash, we seldom use credit cards preferring a pay as you go plan. We have been able to receive some monies through direct deposits and pay some bills either online or by automatic payment from our bank account.

We work on the road, I create some art while traveling and take care of the websites we have online. Connie is GREAT, she takes care of the books, business and travel logs. She uses a new program we just found called RV'ers Notebook it really takes on the job of putting it all in one place.

Here is an RV checklist before you move your RV.
